BRAMA, Nov 23, 2005, 10:00 am ET УКР Press release Holodomor (Great Famine) to be marked by President of Ukraine Commemorations honoring the memory of victims of famines and political repressions will take place throughout Ukraine on Saturday, November 26. The President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, will participate in the unveiling of a memorial to the victims of the Holodomor. At 2 PM (Kyiv time) the President will lead a procession leading up to the monument dedicated to the victims of the Holodomor (the Great Famine of 1932-33) at St. Sophia Plaza. A moment of silence will be observed at 4 PM, after which the nationwide observance called "Light a Candle" will take place. Зокрема, передбачено, що Президент України Віктор Ющенко візьме участь у церемонії закладання Меморіального комплексу жертвам Голодомору. О 14.00 на Софійському майдані Глава держави очолить колонну, яка пройде Скорботною ходою до пам'ятного знаку "Жертвам Голодомору 1932-1933 років". О 16.00 Президент України оголосить Загальнонаціональну хвилину мовчання, відразу після якої розпочнеться акція "Запали свічку", що проходитиме одночасно на всій території України. З метою вшанування пам'яті жертв тих трагічних подій в Україні пропонуємо, шановні друзі, приєднатися до загальноукраїнської акції "Запали свічку".
