Ukraine International Energy Roundtable to be held in Houston, Texas from May 1 to 3, 2006
New York (April 26, 2006) The year's most important gathering of key
government and business leaders focused on Ukraine's dynamic energy sector
will take place in Houston, Texas from May 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency
Houston.
This year's Ukraine International Energy Roundtable, "Strengthening
Ukraine's Energy Diversity" (www.energyukraine.net) will bring
together key U.S., international, and Ukrainian business and government
leaders.
The event is being organized by three respected U.S. and international
organizations - the Orange Circle, the Center for US-Ukrainian Relations,
and the forming Ukraine International Business Council. It promises to be
the largest U.S. event focused on enhancing Ukraine's energy diversity.
The roundtable has garnered support and assistance from Ukraine's energy,
industry, and economics ministries, as well as from Ukraine's Presidential
Secretariat.
Confirmed corporate participants and sponsors include Halliburton, Vanco
Energy, Cardinal Resources, Aspect Energy, Shell, Chadbourne and Parke,
Ukraine's EximBank, System Capital Management, Ukrtransnafta, and
Ukraine's other major energy players in gas and oil, electric power,
alternative energy, and energy conservation sectors. Many participants are
at the CEO and Managing Director levels.
Other confirmed speakers and participants include the deputy head of
Ukraine's National Security Council (and former Minister of Economics),
Ukraine's Minister of Minister of Building, Architecture and Housing, and
Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Economy.
Also participating are: Member of Parliament Hryhory Nemyria, the top
aide to Yulia Tymoshenko; Kseniya Lyapina, Member of Parliament and
Advisor to President Yushchenko, and Head of the Council of Entrepreneurs
at the Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine.
On the United States government side, confirmed participants include Matt
Bryza of the State Department and senior Commerce Department and Energy
Department officials.
