UCCA welcomes victory of democracy in Ukraine
Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) gladly welcomes the results of December 26, 2004 elections. As a Ukrainian American organization, we took an active part in preparing for Ukraine's presidential elections. During the pre-election campaign, the UCCA implemented a civic education project, while during each round of voting in Ukraine, International Elections Observers representing the UCCA were present at many of the polling stations throughout Ukraine. We are glad to recognize that the repeat of the second round of elections was conducted with a much lesser number of violations and that its results truly represent the people's will.
The December 3, 2004 decision of the Supreme Court to recognize the November 21 second round of presidential elections as illegal as well as the mass peaceful protests of the Ukrainian people against the violations of election legislation clearly demonstrated that the civic community in Ukraine is viable and active and through its support the democratic process is gaining momentum and strength.
We congratulate the Ukrainian people with the victory of democracy! The entire world intently watched the political crisis in Ukraine and was awestruck with this phenomenal peaceful Orange Revolution. For a long time now the Ukrainian "revolution" will remain the subject of sociological studies as a unique phenomenon, the highest manifestation of the direct people's power, which ended without bloodshed. Ukrainians in the U.S. are very glad to see the spiritual and national resurrection of the Ukrainian nation in our Motherland, which proudly marches toward the democratic future.
On behalf of the Ukrainian American community, we congratulate Viktor Yushchenko on his victory and being elected the President of Ukraine. We wish him success in the difficult work ahead and hope that under the leadership of the government that enjoys its people's trust and is guided solely by the national interests, Ukraine will achieve its final goal of political and economic stability and independence, as well as full-fledged membership in the worldwide community of the developed democratic nations, much sooner.

УККА вітає перемогу демократії в Україні
Український Конґресовий Комітет Америки (УККА), з радістю вітає результати виборів 26-го грудня 2004 року. Як українська громадська організація, ми брали активну участь у підготовці до виборів президента України. Під час передвиборчої кампанії, УККА провів проєкт громадської освіти, а під час кожної тури голосування в Україні, на багатьох виборчих дільницях були присутні міжнародні спостерігачі виборів, які представляли УККА. Нам радо зазначити, що повторне голосування другої тури президентських виборів відбулося зі значно меншою кількістю порушень виборчого законодавства і що ці результати справді представляють волю українського народу.
Рішення Верховного Суду України від 3-го грудня 2004 року про невизнання леґітимности другого туру виборів президента України (21-го листопада 2004 року) та масові мирні протести українського народу проти порушень виборчого законодавства чітко доказали, що громадське суспільство в Україні є дійовим та активним і з його підтримкою демократичний процес стає міцнішим та швидшим.
Ми вітаємо народ України з перемогою демократії! Увесь світ напружено слідкував за політичною кризою в Україні та подивляв цю феноменальну, мирну "Помаранчеву Революцію". Ще довгий час українська "революція" буде предметом досліджень, як унікальне соціологічне явище, вищий прояв прямої влади народу, який не закінчився кровопролиттям. Українці США радіють духовним та національним відродженням українського народу на Батьківщині, який гордо прямує до демократичного майбутнього.
Від імені української громади Америки, вітаємо Достойного Віктора Ющенка з перемогою і обранням на пост Президента України. Бажаємо Йому успіхів у праці і надіємось, що під проводом керівництва, яке втішається довір'ям виборців і керується лише їхніми інтересами, Україна набагато швидше досягне своєї кінцевої мети - політичної та економічної стабільности і незалежности, як також і повноправного членства у спільноті розвинених демократичних держав світу.
