A workshop "Coping with Floods": a Civics Perspective in conjunction with the
1998 Annual Meeting of the Environmental Partnership for Central Europe
(EPCE Consortium) took place in Krakow, Poland. Scientists and environment
activists from Austria, Canada, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Poland,
Slovakia, UK, Ukraine, USA were working here from 14 till 19 October.
Ukraine was represented by Tovarystvo Leva (Lion Society from Lviv). Its members,
the chiefs of the expedition Dnister and Buh conducted a lecture and created a poster
about their work on these rivers.
