EnTechEco Ltd.: Ukrainian Power Market Prefers Ukrainian Software Solutions

Ukraine, 10 October 2002 - EnTechEco, the leading software provider and developer of contemporary enterprise resource management and control systems for power industry, continues expanding on the Ukrainian power market: another two top agents of the market - the power-generating company KievEnergo and the power-supplying company KhmelnitskOblEnergo - have extended EnTechEco’s clients list.

The power-generating company KievEnergo and the company EnTechEco have made an agreement on supplying and implementing EnTechEco’s Maintenance management system ASU RTO on the enterprise "Kiev heat-electricity-generating plant #5". The system ASU RTO guarantees prevention of equipment's emergent stoppage, controls its wear, provides efficient maintenance, plans refitting at low costs and resource. The GIS-technologies are used for maintenance management of spatial distributed industrial objects.

The company KievEnergo is one of the leading power producers in Ukraine, totally satisfying all wants of the Ukrainian capital on electric power. The company occupies the first place in Ukraine and the third place in the world in heat generating. "Kiev heat-electricity-generating plant #5" owed by KievEnergo is the most powerful enterprise of power industry in the Ukrainian capital.

The power-supplying company KhmelnitskOblEnergo has accepted into industrial exploitation the Human Resource Management system supplied by EnTechEco. The system comprises the modules Payroll Accounting, Personnel Accounting and Manning Table which are the parts of the financial accounting and resource management system Financial Collection.

The company KhmelnitskOblEnergo transports and distributes electric power to the industrial and household consumers in Khmelnitsk region. The total power of energy generating sources is 1.8 MWt, the total network length is 36,000 km, the total personnel of the enterprise is about 3,000.

At the moment, Ukrainian power market suffers drastic changes caused by advanced privatization and reorganization processes. These undoubtedly rejuvenate and animate the market but make problems of enterprise management optimization and automation vitally important. The Ukrainian software market proposes various solutions including the most famous and popular in the world such as SAP R/3, Oracle Applications, etc. However, the real exploitation experience confirms that the Ukrainian power market agents more and more prefer Ukrainian solutions as the most adaptive to the specific local conditions.

Up to date, EnTechEco's software is installed or is under implementation at more than a dozen of Ukrainian power enterprises. Among them are: the power-supplying company AES KievOblEnergo owned by the company AES Silk Road being the subdivision of AES Corporation, USA; one of the largest power-generation company CentrEnergo and its three heat power plants; the power-generating and power-supplying companies DonbassEnergo, KharkovOblEnergo, KhersonOblEnergo, OdessaOblEnergo, Kharkov heat-electricity-generating plant #5; etc.
