The Ukrainian military observers arrived at Bender (Moldova)
A group of 10 Ukrainian military observers arrived at Bender (Moldova) to take part in the peacekeeping operation which maintains the security zone established in the aftermath of the Transnistria conflict.
The Ukrainian military observers will discharge their duties in accordance with the Regulations of Joint Peacekeeping Forces, which are currently in force. They have been adopted by the Joint Controlling Commission, and they apply to all the observers in the security zone.
The major responsibility of the observers will be to monitor and control the situation in the security zone and inform the Joint Military Command, to which Ukraine is a member, about the results of their observation.
