Yara celebrates a great season!

Dear Friends,

In December we brought the Koliadnyky and their winter songs to Wesleyan, New York and California. In February we celebrated our 25th anniversary of work in Ukraine by presenting Yara’s museum exhibition Looking Back/Moving Forward at the Museum of Theatre, Music and Film in Kyiv, where we also had special events with the Koliadnyky, Nina Matvienko and Oksana Zabuzhko. We also began work on a new project with Serhiy Zhadan called Tychyna Zhadan and the Dogs for festivals in Ukraine this September.

Now, our theatre piece Dark Night Bright Stars about Taras Shevchenko and Ira Aldridge is coming to La MaMa June 3-19, 2016. Do not miss this show, which many tell us is our best. We need your support to produce this show and to continue our work this summer.
