There are a couple of places for you to contact for good information. One would be the International Women's Club in Kyiv. There should be plenty of expat mums there for you to chat with. I don't happen to have their phone number right now, but you can find them through either the American Chamber of Commerce or the US Embassy's section called American Citizen's Services.

There are also a couple of schools, like Kyiv International School, and the British School, and Pechersk School. They might have pre-school classes. I know there are play groups, and classes are in English.

You can find English speaking doctors in Ukraine through a number of services like the American Medical Center or the British Medical Clinic. Hopefully you will have med-evac insurance so that you can get to a western country for emergency care and surgery.

Good luck.

: My husband has just taken a position in Kiev. We have 2 children under 3. I was wondering what hospitals and health care are like, what vacinations, and basically what kind of life can we expect. Are there any other eppat mums there who could set my mind at rest.
: Thanks for any info
: Natalie
