authority are serving there own purposes instead of serving their people with their wisdom and resources. When communism fell down, the most raw form of capitalism raised up it's ugly head.
When Russia cut the gas supply with 50%, some people go on syphoning it off, using their own gas corps to sell it at a market price illegally and our loved ones are in cold homes.
If there is no controlling authority keeping a sharp eye on the way competition is behaving then things go easily haywire. Look at the stupidity with electricity in California USA.
Some poster above said, that capitalism opened up. In the case of Ukraine it seems more like closing down the country. Again if there is not strong regulating authority, then you can forget it. The tabacco companies in the US are now feeling the whip of justice as it becomes clear that the have been putting additives in tabacco that complement the enslaving power of nicotine. The boss of my girlfriend would not survive a day with his companies in the Netherlands. I would have his ass within hours for not paying his employees. One phonecall to my lawyer and within two hours there would be a fax at his desk kicking the bastard into court! A real and working judicial system is the second thing necessary!
I remember Kreshatick, indeed there was some flashy experience. I saw an old babushka sitting in a rickety wheelchair, having no legs below the knee. Ten paces further I past the LaCoste shop and other outlets from Italian designers! There's flashyness for you.
Study law Rostick and practice it. That is the only chance some countries have. Not all countries have the luck in having somewhere in history leaders with the power like a Gandhi.
