Hi,
First off all you must bring them presents from US. A scarf for mom and a pair of gloves for dad should be good enough. Of course gold jewelery is very valuable, especcialy a cross on the chain.

You must have a drink with them at dinner time, so it's good to be able to drink vodka straight or you can learn it there, as my husband did.
They would love if you stayed overnight with them. Go to the market with them and buy some extra food. You can help them in the garden with planting, May is a good month for such activity.
Any help around the house is impressive for ukrainian women, as most of men there don't do the dishes, vacuuming, cooking or laundry.

Good Luck.

: I will be meeting my future in-laws in Odessa at the end of May. Can someone offer a few do's and don'ts and customs that I should be congnizant of. Thanks!
