Hi Frank,

I am also considering to relocate to Ukraine. Been there several times already, so I know what to expect. Actually I rent a small flat for "trying" in Nikolaev.
However, I do not want to retire, but I am starting some small business, because it will take some time until my retirement.
Be careful, when considering to live in Yalta. Absolutely boring there in winter. And very expensive to buy a flat.
Think about Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson.
Odessa has good entertainment also in winter time, Nikolaev is conviniently located, Kherson is is the smallest place I would consider, but quite nice in sumer, because a lot of trees in the city.
Remember, for hot summer you always have to option to buy/rent a small datcha close to seaside.
In case, your intentions are serious, drop me an email and we can stay in touch.
