Why did you post this article to this BB? After all Brama is a BB that's aimed at attracting potential tourists (not patronising do-gooders with an "American smile") to the Ukraine.
Yes, the article undeniably speaks the "truth", but what purpose does this "truth" serve within the context of the Brama BB? What good does it do to the Ukraine and Ukrainians except transform them into objects of pity?
In my humble opinion your post looks down its nose at a grim Ukrainian reality that is absolutely incomprehensible to smiling Westerners who can come and go at will. In the final analysis it seems to be a sneaky example of the Western cultural imperialism that is driving the Ukrainians back into the arms of Mother Russia.
