Dear Brudder Andrusha and Others of course,

As I will be coming back to Ukraine and hopefully will get my girl to say yes, I need to know much more about Ukraine as a country (history, culture, economics, what have you). If we make it, I want us to be in contact with her motherland a often as necessary, no root cutting here!

I have been going over the literature here on Brama in the Library section, but have no real criteria to single out books for a beginner like me.

I interested in a list of books about Ukraine that will provide me with the necessary information to understand more while being and travelling in Ukraine.

The books can be in English, German or French. From touristic leaflets to scholarly works. I sorta devour everything readable. And... and... they must be for sale, nothing wrong with a library of course, but some stuff you just want to own. Of course I will also go to the Eastern Europe Institute of the universities here, but I like to collect as many different opinions as possible.
