OKTYABRSKAYA STR. 87 KREMENCHUG
This adress is what is found in VISA ATM locator, and this must be recently updated as where are more adresses there now than 2 months ago. I will ask if she knows anything more tomorrow.
Best regards Sven
: Would she, by any chance, happen to know where we might be able to use an ATM in Kremenchug?? It is also in the Poltava oblast.
: Thanks Sven,

: : I am glad to be of help. But accually it is not so hard for me to know this, as I just asked the head of the creditcard department at Privat Bank in Poltava. Whom by the way is my wife....
: : Best regards Sven
: : : : There are atleast 15 ATM's belonging to Privat Bank in Kiev. Most of them allow you to withdraw both Hryvna and USD. One is situated in Kreshchatik hotel.
: : : : Link below to VISA ATM Locator, there you find all the machines in Ukraine.

: : : : : Steve,
: : : : : Actually, there *were* some responses to your post, but they got moved over to an archive with numerous other recent posts yesterday.
: : : : : Anyway, the simple answer to your question is that you should have no problem at all getting cash at ATM's in any large Ukraine city. You can check with Visa or Mastercard online to get a listing of all ATM's in the city you plan to visit.
: : : : : Also, just so you know, the legal limit for bringing cash into Ukraine is $10,000 USD (or equivalent) and $50,000 USD in traveler's cheques. I suggest against traveler's cheques because the exchange rate is quite a lot lower than for US currency.
: : : : : Further, if you plan to travel only to Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv (and a few other of the largest cities), then exchanging large currency bills ($50 and $100) will be no problem. Smaller cities, however, may be difficult and you may want to take only small denomination bills.
: : : : : As far as I know, there is only one ATM in Kyiv that will allow you to withdraw either Ukrainian Hryvna *or* US Dollars. The location is along Karla Marxa Street just off Kreschatyk in the Austrian Airlines offices across from the Conservatory.
: : : : : I hope this helps.

: : : : : : Due to lack of response, I will post my message here again:
: : : : : : I will be traveling to Kiev for the first time this Friday and would like to know whether or not I should take mostly cash or can I rely on the convenience of ATM machines in Kiev. For the past few years, I've always taken very little cash and as soon as I landed somewhere in Europe, I would get cash at the ATM machines. Not sure how it is in Ukraine. Thanks for your help.
