Hi Charlie,
It's very much depends from a town you will spend your time. The most expensive is Yalta so your expenses in the others will be less.
A hotel "Oreanda" wil cost you at least $200 a night, "Bristol" - $80, a decent private apartment - $40-70.
One really good dinner for two persons in a fancy restaurant can cost you $90-100. But you can have a lunch/dinner for $30-40 as well.
An entertainment (a horse back riding, a boating, an excursions) would cost approximately $10-12 per hour, scuba diving - $25-30 per hour.
Anyway, Crimea is beautiful place to be and people is friendly and nice. Poor Slobodan!... Perhaps he met somebody really terrible...
Look at my web site: www.aroundcrimea.com and you will see how beautiful Crimea is. Read "Travel stories" on the site and you will learn what people feel there.
There is no doubts - you will have great time in Crimea and remember it for whole your life.
I wish you very nice and safe trip!
Regards,
Eugene
