Vladimir Stelmakh, the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), believes that Ukraine's entry into the World Trade Organization may lead to Ukrainian banks bankruptcy because they will not be able to compete against foreign banks.According to the chairman of NBU, banking business in Ukraine requires considerable expenditure and as a result neither financial transactions nor the shareholders’ resources permit to accumulate adequate capital.
