If so then watch out for the following:
1. Pot holes - the scourge of Ukraine. Even the main roads are not immune from them.
I have seen pot holes as big as craters on the Virtual Tourist website, taken by visitors.
2. Ruts in roads. Particularly down side roads.
3. Kamaz trucks. Many of these old ex Soviet dinosaurs on the roads. Can be big and intimidating to the unwary western cyclist.
4. Road works, rarely cordoned off. Including missing man hole covers and expossed tram lines.
In short make sure you watch your step and keep your eyes firmly on the road. To say the least travelling on Ukrainian raods is an experience.
