In a market economy... if the price for a room is $18 a night... it should be $18 a night for everyone - not an indiscriminate increase rated as per the nationality on your passport?
Yes, a $43 room isn't really that much - I agree, and yes I can afford it. However, the hotel rooms that I have used in the Ukraine were not exactly the Mariot either!?!?
The only thing that you can call this mark up in price... is corruption. It is rampant in Eastern European economics, and goes far back in this regions history.
