Yes. Poltava is an average size Ukr city with many parks, several colleges and a good sized market. Search the web for poltava; at yahoo and you can learn more about the city and the large Oblast (like a large county) named Poltava Oblast. I have stopped there many times on the train or autoLuxbus. The oblast has excellent soil that nourishes vast fields of sunflowers, corn and grains. You can see the fields best from the train; as the main road is lined some of the way with trees from 50 to 200 feet from the paved road.
