I often read on these sites people bragging about how there is no yearly tax on real estate. True enough for the time being. But does any sane person think that situation will last very much longer?
All governments need revenues and Ukraine is no exception. In fact, Ukraine is in dire need of funds for all sorts of infrastructure improvements as anyone who has been here should certainly know.
So yes, enjoy the absence of yearly taxes while you can. But this should not be used as a reason to purchase or invest in real estate in Ukraine. The party will soon be over.
