Well, if you want to stay put, then the best choice is to become "a permanent resident", and keep your old passport. The hands down expert on that is "Carl". BTW, it seems to be a simple matter to become a permanent resident if you're married to a Ukrainian. hmmmmmm?

Unfortunately for you in Russian, but I think you can figure it out, essentially an auction site for bankrupt Ukrainian factories and such, pick up the factory building for a song, actually more like a short whistle here's the web site
