Hey Danilo,
The distance from Kiev to Odessa is 487 km or about 300 miles. I would not recommend taking a day trip by car because it will probably take 6+ hours one way. They are building a new road (promised to be complete by the end of August), so it could cause extra delays. You could take an overnight train from Kiev to Odessa, spend a day in Odessa, and take an overnight train back. Second class sleeper car ticket will cost you about $10, first class - $30-40.
