The price a Ukrainian citizen pays for an apartment is not the same for a foreigner.

Real Estate agents in Lviv will increase the price of the house or apartment significantly when they know you’re a foreigner. Remember they are paid by commission, percentage of sales price.

I was looking with a real estate agent in Lviv. They where showing me 80,000 dollar (USD) apartments in Lviv, all of them in need in need of repair or serious renovations.
These were apartments that weren’t even worth 40k in the United States.

If you decide to go with a Real Estate agent, make sure you bring your sense of humor with you. You will get a good laugh at some of the apartments they will show you, and a bigger laugh when they tell you the price.
