Have you submitted the required application and documentation as yet??
Once they receive this your fiance will be contacted by letter of receipt of the application and provided with interview date and time - a phone number will be included if he has any questions etc - he will be required to bring all original documents with him to the interview as well including passport.
The process has no time frame as they will say it depends on workload and numbers of other applicants etc etc etc. They may also ask for more information and documenation too.
At the interview your fiance will be asked most likely many questions along the lines of
*how did you meet and where
*how long have you known each other
*have you met in person and where and for how long
*how do you keep in contact i.e letters , e_mails , phone calls etc - you would of had to submit evidence of this in your applications
*They will ask him about you - what you job is and what it involves , who you work for and for how long , where you live , what you earn , do you own a house or flat etc
* they will ask him about your family and friends.
* they will ask him about his work and what work he will do in britain etc
* they may also ask questions of a rather personal and intimate nature too
Basically the questions are to ascertain the genuiness of the relationship and how well you know each other.
