It starts as soon as you get off the plane.

The taxi driver charges you an amount that is not based on kilometers to your hotel.
And every time you use a taxi the fee is higher when they realize you’re an American.

Then when you get to your hotel you find out that they have one rate for Ukrainians and one rate for tourists.

Can someone explain why the hotel rates are the same in Ukraine as in the United States, yet the average Ukrainian salary is $700.00 dollars* a year?

I agree with you.

If the businesses in Ukraine start giving reasonable prices to everyone including tourist then maybe the tourist industry will grow.
