Ditto on the no problems. As to processing, yes it tends to be less expensive than in the States. However, you may find that the processing does not include printing unless specifed. My cousin once offered to have my film processed for me, and I was quite surprised when he brought back a roll of negatives from which I was to request prints. There are plenty of professional photo processing shops where you can turn in your film - just remember to order the prints right away if you'd rather not wait.

: Been to Ukraine many times, never had problems with fogging except on time going through prague the guy scanned it for times. Anyway it used to be possible to hand check film but after 911 don't count on it, By the way hand check is look at cassetes not open film.

: Processing is cheap to westerners, most people get the film developed and choose from the negs which ones they want. but why bother get them all.
