I have brought my laptop, digital camera's Digital Video and other electro device with not problem to and from Ukraine since 1997. Declare it , just make sure to keep you declaration so as to prove you brought it in. Keeping an eye on it is another story,.. depending where you go , ie day trips, you will have to find a secure place for it. I used mine for general translations and for work because I had contracts to fill in ukraine, although I had only a visitor visa a few times.

By the way I am not sure anymore but GPS is a no no in some countries. funny they never even looked at my satalite maps of Sevastopol !!!!
