Does anybody know the legalities/costs/restrictions/ difficulties/riskiness of purchasing property and/or land in Crimea? My wife is Ukrainian, and I am American. We will be in Ukraine for over a month this summer looking into this and other things.
Although I would find some cost approximations for different options useful, I am partcularly interested in practical matters (stregnth of contractual law/closing issues) and paranoid matters (will the local mafia be lining up to collect "property taxes")
