Hello,
My wife is a Ukrainian citizen with a non-registered Ukrainian passport with a US Green Card. Her green card is in her married name, and her passport is in her Maiden name.
I have 2 questions.
1. Is it a problem getting back into the USA when the last name on the green card is different from the passport. It is not a problem to bring along a copy of the marriage certificate.
2. I understand it can be a hassle leaving Ukraine for the US in this situation. However, I was wondering if it is easier to take a train to Moscow (from Kharkov) and exit the country on the train - would there be less of a hassle when only going to Russia - not boarding a plane for America. Or, alternatively, flying to the UK with a valid visa for the UK from Kiev - then travel from the UK to USA.
If you have any advice, please let me know.
Thanks,
Tony
