Statistically the success or failure is the same as conventional marriage. The fact is that the so-caled matchmaking agencies don't make matches. They provide addresses and sometimes phone numbers of the featured women for a fee. Beyond that, whatever happens in the relationship is up to the man and woman involved. The agencies don't make anyone get married, and if the couple does get married, it is the fault of the couple if it doesn't work out. That can be said of any marriage; there are horror stories and there are success stories. What difference does it make how they meet? And the agencies? What they stated about the ladies is, for the most part, true. I'm speculating that many of the readers and posters of this board, including myself, have either wives or fiancees that they met through one of these agencies and are perfectly happy and glad they did.
