Hi,

I'm traveling this year and I'm just wondering, I see posts on here about rooms and apartments, some seem to be a very good deal. My question is how do you know that you're dealing with someone that is 100% on the up and up. Would I be better off trying for a hostel? I'd much rather have some privacy, but don't want to be stuck without a place to stay once I arrive. I'd appreciate any American or UK person to help me out with some questions as well.
