Fred,take the train if you don't care about aesthetic considerations. If you are accustomed to standing in puddles of reeking urine (and worse) while using the "restroom," and you are comfortable disrobing in front of and sleeping with total strangers that are 30 cm. away from your face, and you are such a sound sleeper that when the car jumps every few minutes you never awaken, you will be ok! I did this, and while I got through it, I would never take a long train ride at night in Ukr. again...
