I searched hurriedly for a vegetarian meal while in Lviv and settled on the Grand Hotel. Not a very creative choice, but the food was excellent. I think I had Kozak-style white beans and something else I've forgotten. The wait-staff speaks English and the restaurant is luxurious. I spent about 20 USD for my meal though and consequently felt embarassed for my lavishness with my Ukrainian friend.
Be careful of the Borsht. I ordered it once, only to get a mouthful of fish that I nearly spit across the room in surprise!
Good luck - Joe
: I'm spending one day in Lviv in September and would like a decent vegetarian meal with a Ukranian flavour. Can anyone recommend a dish or a restaurant I can try?
: Thanks for your help!
