Dear Steffan,

At the moment I do not know about prices of the train, but you could email my friend Rostick at rostik@i.kiev.ua and ask him, he is a wiz at these sort of things. He works a s a guide. He has been traveling with Autolux to Kharkiv and liked it actually.

You can check out the website of Autolux by using this URL:
http://www.autolux.com.ua/en/index.php?al_lang=en
Recently they have an English version [Thanks Bill S. for posting about it!] You can exactly see the itineraries and the costs.

You will need bus #514 as this leaves Boryspil at 17.35 [eta 17.30!] and will set you back 50 hryvna's about 25 Dutch guilders. You arrive 00.25, pretty late, isn't it. 8-)

I have travelled several times with Autolux from kyiv to Zaporizhzhya and found their service to be good. I had bought two tickets for myself to have enough room to sleep as I was taking the night bus. If you have more then one bag, they will charge you for the extra bag.

For trains you can go to:
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/detect.exe/bin/query.exe/e
You can enter your exact date and find the connections. You can buy the same day, but do you speak the lingo??

Another interesting link is

Take care to enter Kharkiv as Harkov!! You get a lot of trains there. The best ones are trains designated as "fast" and "firm". Train #64 [Not many stops and a reasonable departure time.]however is not going through Boryspil so you have to go through Kyiv Passajirski to depart there. That will set you back about US$15 -20 of you go by taxi. Of course you can also take public transport. Lot of info on that about on this board. But it is up to you how to organize things and I can not look in your wallet 8-)

Train 220 goes through Boryspil, but leaves at 00.50. Not a nice time I reckon. For the moment I would choose the bus, but other peoples mileage may vary.

Prettige Reis!
Sincerely,
Hans
