: : When you say cheap ow cheap is cheap?

: I stayed at Hotel Lviv this March. A small room with two small beds and a private bath was 100 Hryvna. A similar room with shared bath was half that. There were a few hours with no water at all, however, and hot water was rare, so you may as well use the public bath. Also, the door didn't lock, the beds were uncomfortable, and the room was noisy. It was pretty clean, though, and the management was hospitable.

: : : Cheap lodging in Lviv:
: : : - Hotel Lviv, close to the opera house.
: : : - Hotel Tourist, not right in the center but you can take a tram all the way to the hotel.

: : : Both these places offer cheap but simple conditions, so nothing like the more fancy hotels: Grand, Dnistr and George.

: : : I stayed at a "sports hotel" once at the foot of the Hoverla. Supposedly it had been built for the Ukrainian olympic team. It could be a good base for hikes, but as far as I remember, there is no public transport there. You may have to hire someone to drive you up there.
