PURPOSE OF THIS BULLETIN BOARD
BRAMA (meaning "gateway" in Ukrainian) is committed to a particular set of objectives, two of which are:
1) to nurture the growth of Ukraine's commerce within and beyond its borders. To this end, Brama has included a "Travel to and in Ukraine" section, and this Bulletin Board. The BB is meant to facilitate travel to/in Ukraine by providing (duh) information about travel to/in Ukraine, all the information about travel to/in Ukraine (that we humanly can), and nothing but information about travel to/in Ukraine.
2) to participate in the acquaintance and re-acquaintance of Ukrainian culture.
We have several regular contributors who have extensive experience with travel to/in Ukraine. Some are travel agents, others are business travelers or have relatives in Ukraine, and still others have simply fallen in love with the country. But anyone can pose a question, and anyone with the correct information/advice is encouraged to respond. Share your experiences - whether good or bad (we hope they are good) - so that others can benefit.
This is a privately owned bulletin board, with one webmaster (that would be me). It is not a profitable board. It costs money and time to run it, and contributors are offering their time as volunteers. We do our best to help anyone seeking advice, but please don't assume that we owe you anything. We are all running this board together (1) because we love Ukraine and believe it's a great place to visit and get to know, and (2), because we can (provide the space and technological support).
Our thanks to all those who take the time to make this board as valuable to travelers as it is. Please help us keep it that way - read the policy/guidelines below and adhere to them.
RULES, POLICIES and DISCLAIMERS
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use the Brama Travel to Ukraine Bulletin Board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you.
You agree not to post any advertising, URL's with affiliate id's or tracking numbers or anything which actively promotes a site or company. You agree not to use the addresses of any member on the bulletin board for any other purpose than 1-1 personal communication.
Although Brama does not and cannot review each message posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we at Brama reserve the right to delete or edit any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brama and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). We at Brama reserve the right to disable your posting ability for any or no reason whatsoever.
We at Brama also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
Note: Brama has a zero tolerance policy for personal attacks. Posting something to the Brama bulletin board which personally attacks another bulletin board member or contains profanity or any type of recial or ethnic slur will result in immediately disabling your posting ability.
We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.
A bulletin board, by its very nature, is a public place. Everything you post can be read by anyone who wants to read it, anywhere in the world. We encourage you to use the BB to share your thoughts, feelings and experiences in Ukraine, but we caution you to use good judgment.
Keep in mind that the opinions expressed in postings on this board are those of the individuals making the postings and thus do not necessarily reflect the views of the BRAMA. We each come to this board with different personalities, symptoms and backgrounds. Please take what you like and leave the rest without comment.
Be careful about attacking someone over the Internet. Most states and countries have laws against libel.
Abuses should be reported to the webmaster at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Anyone using the Board is presumed to have read this policy and is
subject to its terms.
Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?
No. You can not use HTML tags in any field except body of the message. The maintainer of the script has the option of allowing or disallowing any HTML in the Message part of your posting. If they disallow it, the script will just throw out everything in <>'s. If they allow it, your html markup will appear in the posting. It can't hurt to try.
Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?
Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. The owner of the WWWBoard can decide whether they wish to enable or disable the quoting of previous messages.
Why didn't my post show up?
Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.
Where can I get the scripts for this program?
The scripts are written in Perl and created by Matt Wright. They are free to anyone who wishes to use them and you can get them as well as other scripts at: http://worldwidemart.com/scripts/. Enjoy!
