PURPOSE OF THIS BULLETIN BOARD

BRAMA (meaning "gateway" in Ukrainian) is committed to a particular set of objectives, two of which are:

1) to nurture the growth of Ukraine's commerce within and beyond its borders.
2) to participate in the acquaintance and re-acquaintance of Ukrainian culture.
To this end, Brama has included a "Travel to and in Ukraine" section, and this Bulletin Board. The BB is meant to facilitate travel to/in Ukraine by providing (duh) information about travel to/in Ukraine, all the information about travel to/in Ukraine (that we humanly can), and nothing but information about travel to/in Ukraine.

We have several regular contributors who have extensive experience with travel to/in Ukraine. Some are travel agents, others are business travelers or have relatives in Ukraine, and still others have simply fallen in love with the country. But anyone can pose a question, and anyone with the correct information/advice is encouraged to respond. Share your experiences - whether good or bad (we hope they are good) - so that others can benefit.

This is a privately owned bulletin board, with one webmaster (that would be me). It is not a profitable board. It costs money and time to run it, and contributors are offering their time as volunteers. We do our best to help anyone seeking advice, but please don't assume that we owe you anything. We are all running this board together (1) because we love Ukraine and believe it's a great place to visit and get to know, and (2), because we can (provide the space and technological support).

Our thanks to all those who take the time to make this board as valuable to travelers as it is. Please help us keep it that way - read the policy/guidelines below and adhere to them.

thankyouverymuch,
the management

A bulletin board, by its very nature, is a public place. Everything you post can be read by anyone who wants to read it, anywhere in the world. We encourage you to use the BB to share your thoughts, feelings and experiences in Ukraine, but we caution you to use good judgment.

Keep in mind that the opinions expressed in postings on this board are those of the individuals making the postings and thus do not necessarily reflect the views of the BRAMA. WWWBoard Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about WWWBoard.

Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?

No. You can not use HTML tags in any field except body of the message. The maintainer of the script has the option of allowing or disallowing any HTML in the Message part of your posting. If they disallow it, the script will just throw out everything in <>'s. If they allow it, your html markup will appear in the posting. It can't hurt to try.

Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?

Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. The owner of the WWWBoard can decide whether they wish to enable or disable the quoting of previous messages.

Why didn't my post show up?

Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.

Where can I get the scripts for this program?

The scripts are written in Perl and created by Matt Wright. They are free to anyone who wishes to use them and you can get them as well as other scripts at: http://worldwidemart.com/scripts/. Enjoy!
