: If they disappear, so what? So many peoples have disappeared in the course of human history. Does it hurt?
: Every people which desappear, make us poorest. Make the culture of Humanity more plain. All speaking in American English, eating hamburgers, drinking Cola and seing Rambo...
: I don't understand why such small nations as Basque try to save and preserve its language, has a huge Euskaltsandia, an Academy of Basque language, every year make diccionaries (they have Russian-Basque diccionary, and I'm sure there will be Ukrainian-Basque diccionary), make films, write books, support schools, make a lot of cultural events, give the possibility to all people to study Basque, support Basque courses in Poland, USA, etc,. etc,. etc,. why you, as Ukrainian, don't want preserve yours? WHY?
Dear Lesia,
Personally, I love Ukrainian and I would hate to see it disappeared, but if the majority of the Ukrainian society decides so, be it. It will be sad, but there are some sad things that happen in our lives. Ukrainians have chosen democracy as their political tool, and democracy hurts! !Asi es la vida!
And else, I do not eat burgers, I do not drink Cola and, I do not watch Rambo. I do not like any of the above, but, if you do like it, please, enjoy, it is YOUR chose, (though it will be painful for me to watch it) you HAVE the right to do so.
