When we are discussing this matter we must consider that the question is about the official language and not if Russian shall be prohibited or not. I have read the Ukrainian Constitution and as I understand it the Russian language is accepted as one of the languages spoken in Ukraine. But there shall be only one official language. We have heard enough from nationalistic groups in Russia who seem to mean that if Russian is not the official language in former Soviet republics it´s discrimination! Besides that, maybe many Ukrainians are very nationalistic. But looking at Ukrainian History who´s responsible for this reaction??
Slava Ukrayini!
