Countries with MUCH smaller population, indeed hardly bigger than Kiev.

Un-true, for eample in regions of Ukraine that are predominantly Russian speaking, schools are having compulsory Ukrainian language classes, doesn't matter if the people want it or not, they have no choice, somebody in Kiev said so. Also English and other classes are only taught in Ukrainian and not Russian, Russian language teachers have been fired, if that's not discrimination, I don't know what is, don't worry though March is getting closer....

Really, I hear Ukrainian spoken for the first time in Kiev last year, but just by one person, everyone else spoke Russian!
