I'm sure there weren't any hassidic cossacks but i'm sure there were plenty of agnostic jews to go along with the agnostic christians in the ranks. Cossackdom was about economics like most political forces and the chrisitian elements were conveniently there.

: Are you talking about the Russian military? Your question is unclear to me. The accounts I've read of the Pogroms is that are more or less riots which seemed to have elements of involvement of the Russian secret police. Cossacks? How would they be involved? How would there be Jewish Cossacks?
