I'm sorry but the "probably" and "maybe" don't carry any significance at all. He WAS the Hetman of the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks. Where he might have been born, and what was the mostly likey color of the socks he wore on Thursdays are not relevant. He accomplished two things. He was a mass murderer, and he signed a treaty (Treaty of Pereyaslav) which led to the Russian domination of western Ukraine. Aftwerwards his governement broke down amidst accusations of corruption which led to his Lieutenants taking control
