Two citizens of Israel who were wearing traditional religious Jewish attire were assaulted by a 19 as well as 22-year old men, armed with chains in downtown Kiev. Thankfully the victims were not seriously injured. During the assault, the attackers screamed "Heil Hitler" and "Death to the Jews". And guess what? The Ukrainian police AGAIN has again charged these guys... With hooliganism! I guess there is no difference between urinating in a public place (which also classified as such) and beating the crap out of Jews...
I am Jewish myself and I really want to move back to Kiev from Canada but incidents like that give pause.
