Well, then you certainly should not go back to Ukraine.
I have traveled there numerous times and brought cash with me each time, and no one took anything from me. Of course, I followed the rules.
If you are a foreigner in the US who doesn't follow our laws and regulations, you will get into trouble. It's really kind of dumb to go into a foreign country and choose not to abide by their laws.
I have always found Ukrainians to be quite friendly, but that may have been b/c I was friendly towards them. Possibly Americans who first met you would not like you, either. I already don't like you, without even having met you, b/c of what you've written. So, there you have it. Perhaps you should go on some other sites and tell people not to come to the US. Then, no one will need to worry about meeting you, an unfriendly, arrogant person.

: Don't bring any cash with you in or out of Ukraine through Kiev Borispol airport, or Ukrraine customs will confiscate it from you. July 14, 2005 customs at Borispol airport international departures confiscated $2900.00 USD cash from me because I did not fill out a departures currency declaration form. I only had the completed arrivals declaration form. I had the cash with me for an extended visit to Russia, to Buryatiya. I was on vacation in Crimea and stoped over one night in Kiev.
: I found Ukrainians to be extremely reserved and very unfriendly. They don't want any American visitors and they don't like Russians either.
