Right, both sentences mean the same thing. One may use either ambience or ambiance, but if you're writing in English the preferred choice would be "ambience" (unless you're addicted to pretentious writing). Check an English dictionary for usage. Your original usage "... add an international ambiance to the insult..." is not only stilted, but improper usage. By the way it's not apropo, it's apropos [Fr a propos, to the purpose]. Additionally, capitalization of words within the body of a sentence is a sign of sophomoric writing. But what can one expect from a nitwit lawyer?
