: : If you declare any cash on arrival at Borispol airport, they will confiscate it when leaving.

: Not true. You did not declare on departure and you were carrying more than the legally allowed amount. Own up to your responsibility in the matter. Again I am truly sorry that this happened to you and it cast a pall over your plans. Hopefully others will learn not to repeat your errors.
: What is legal amount? IF THIS IS MY HARD EARNED CASH.We just came back from Ukraine. We arrived in Lviv, but our luggage stayed behind. The customs told us that this is not their problem, but air lines'.We filled out custom decleration{the only thing they interested is our money} the amount of cash on hand. When we went to pick our luggage next day the custom agent wanted our declaration. I refused giving it back, stating that we needed it for the departure from Kyiv. His reason was that we might be back to claim our luggage again.I told him, that when we did not have
our luggage that was not customs responsibility, so it should be not now. I don't know what this was about, but I STOOD MY GROUNDS.
