As Gertrude Stein once said "A rose is a rose is a rose.." and a nitwit "lawyer" by any other name is still a nitwit "lawyer." Your weak truck analogy reveals that you are indeed clueless. Perhaps your malapropism (i.e. the application of "international ambiance" to words) was an attempt at humor ala Leo Gorcey or Norm Crosby. Your convoluted definition and etymology of "ambiance" (noun) and ambient (adjective)only supports your misuse of the term. In English ambient is an adjective (L ambiens, prp of ambire, to go around ambi, around + ire, to go)and there is no equivalent verb usage in English. If you want to give an international flavor to the term nitwit, you can write as many translations of the word on your walls. You will then be "surrounded" with these words. Not exactly an ambience, but metaphorically close enough for a nitwit.
