It is unfortunate that you had such an unpleasant time during your short and abbreviated stay in Ukraine. But as you yourself pointed out you did not abide by the laws of the country which you were in and consequently your money was confiscated. Hopefully other visitors will benefit from your experience and realize that when travelling abroad one must respect the laws of that country.
