Are you absolutely sure this time? It seems that Inter TV was up for grabs. Wasn't Tymoshenko's swan song broadcast over Inter TV? Everyone spoke Ukrainian, except the moderator (strange, but not for Inter TV).


: Actually I should've said Channel 1+1, and not Channel 1. Channel 1+1 is the second biggest TV channel in Ukraine. It is being purchased by Privat group, the same group that's buying the Nikopol Ferroalloys Plant that Tymoshenko took away from Kuchma's son in law Pinchuk. This will be her "mouthpiece" during the campaign and Yushenko will have Channel 5, and probably state channels. It's possible that Tymoshenko will herself end up controlling the TV station..... Yushenko publicly criticized Tymoshenko about this on Friday's press conference
