The average salary is lower than $150 a month. Ukrainians in Kiev, especially those who have become richer like to flaunt their wealth. The bickering in the US and Canada is to some extent reflected in the power struggle among the new elite. I think politically Ukraine can opt for strict neutrality and one day can form some kind of federation with Belarus, Moldova and who knows Russia too. Talk of bringing in NATO has caused outrage among many Ukrainians in the east and south. Mature leaders are needed who focus on common denominators rather than self interest and power politics
