besides humor, please investigate the use of "metaphors". The word ambiance is derived from the French "ambiant", which in English means to "surround", so my expression would mean to surround yourself with these words. Now your declaration "that a nitwit by any other name is still a nitwit", seems to be redundant, if I paraphrased this statement as "a truck by any other name is still a truck", it doesn't really offer any insight or relationship. So you could really say there was "a lack of wit" in your statement, maybe you were trying to provide us with an example of "nitwit" writing...?
